The mailman finally brought the portrait to me about 15 minutes ago. I opened it very carefully and
then almost cried. It took my breath away. . . . I was very excited when I got your email with the
attachment, but that was nothing compared to the emotion I felt when I actually saw it with my own
eyes. I can't thank you enough for what you've done. I'm so glad I found you."

loved one.
My sons gave my husband Rudy's portrait tonight for Father's Day and, as I expected, when he
opened it, he actually could not speak and walked out of the room to compose himself. When he
returned and finally tried to speak, he said that he had never in his whole life received a gift that
meant so much. He said that it was "exactly" Rudy. He also told the boys "I know how much I
complain and get on your backs for everything but this is the best present in the world that you
could have given me". He also said he never expected anything that would have meant so much to
him. He sensed our excitement in the previous weeks and even questioned "what makes you so
sure I am going to love this gift"? He said tonight it far exceeded just loving it.
Guy, you would have to see my husband to understand. He is a big man, tattooed head to toe,
bald head and strives to carry a tough man image. Unbelievable by many, he is a more caring,
sensitive, giving, and loving human being I have ever known.
He wishes to extend his heartfelt thanks to you for honoring his best friend. He said he has been
more upset over losing Rudy then even any previous loss of a person. You have been such an
inspirational part of my life through the last couple months. I also had the pleasure of informing
my husband that, not only was this artist the most skilled, most kind and an absolute pleasure to
work with; this portrait was drawn with love, pride and a driving desire to honor a loved one.

Unfortunately, under sad circumstances, I am so excited to have the opportunity to request your
outstanding talent and be in contact with you again. It's me, Debbi Warriner, Rudy Baker's mom.
Cannot believe that so soon after losing Rudy, we were forced to put down now my son's cat,
Maggie, who suffered from the same illness (over-active thyroid) which she fought hard and bravely
for approximately a year.

From the image you just sent of Maggie, I am speechless. You are done!! You captured her
completely. I have felt so excited to have been in contact with you again that I almost wish you
would have taken longer! I want to be available in anyway for you if I could help express your
service and talent. Please never forget that and always feel comfortable to ask or advise me what I

I always enjoy seeing that you are in my "Inbox" when I open my mail. I was struck by something
that you just wrote that I never gave thought to -- giving your original artwork away. Do you realize
how much that expresses you and the commitment you reach for in your portraits? Even though you
do not personally know or have any attachment to your subjects, you unbelievably take every effort
to become their spirit, emotion, expression and loving memory. From Day 1, you never made me
feel like a "customer" that is why my only fear comes when you are finished [with] my portrait and
our communication ends.
My main reason of writing was to let you know that I received Maggie's portrait safe and sound
today. Guy, it is more incredible in person than even the amazing preview you sent. I put it next to
Rudy's and even their size relation to how they were to each other is exact. I never would have
dreamed that I could have loved another portrait as much as Rudy's but it turns out (like having a
second child) it was just as amazing, fabulous and beyond belief. It looks like her so 100%
completely and I cannot both thank you enough in words for such a beautiful tribute you have given
